Some mistakes are very irreversible in marriage, this is why women have to be careful in their decisions when it comes to their marriages. The blame game is very common among women that they fail to acknowledge their common mistakes. Being careful enough and giving it a second thought will make you realize that some of the problems in your marriage were caused by you. Listed below are some of these mistakes women make in marriage, that will probably cause tensions in their marriages or at worst cost them their marriages.

1. MAKING THE CHILDREN THE FOCUS
Adoring your kids especially at the earlier stages in marriage is a wonderful thing, but doing it in such a way that your husband is no longer your priority is the problem. Attend to your hubby’s needs always. You should realize that it is to your husband and not your children you are married to. Always remember the children will grow someday and leave the house for you and your husband to be together, so don’t make this mistake in your marriage.

2. NOT CONCERNED ABOUT LOOKING GOOD
So many women think that the man is always theirs as long as they are married to him, and see no reason why they should be worried about looking good. This mentality is a common mistake in marriage. Doing your best at all times to look good is another way to respect your hubby. When he sees you looking good, it gives him the impression you still care about how he feels and gains you more respect.

3. DON’T SEE YOUR HUSBAND AS ANOTHER SON
It is very disrespectful when your hubby gets the feeling he is not the man of the house anymore. In as much as his parenting skills may not count in your opinion as a mother, do not see him as another child of yours. Always treat him as the man he is, and not as one of your sons. Let his opinions count, otherwise it becomes an abuse and you will be the one that will be at loss.

4. NOT SETTING BOUNDARIES WITH YOUR IMMEDIATE FAMILY
Important private decisions are to remain private. In as much you idolize your immediate family, you should not allow them interfere in your decision making. Setting boundaries in your marriage from the onset, will help to reduce the havoc that may be wrecked by their contributions. Do not allow your in-laws detect the sound of music in your home. You are married to yourselves, not your families. Do not make this common mistakes.

5. NOT LEARNING TO FIGHT RIGHT
Most marriages are dissolved and disintegrated on the grounds of lack of conflict resolution skills. Most women fight for no just course and hence make their marriages a living hell for their husbands. This should not be the case especially in trying to avoid divorce. Furiously yelling at your husband unnecessarily can be very dangerous in marriage.

6. BEING THE BOSS
In as much as you may be the one taking care of the feeding and other necessities for the running of the home, don’t forget it was he who married you. Pay attention to his good ideas and accept them. Allow the man to take decisions for the family when necessary, as this will bring good tidings to the family. Don’t be the boss.

7. NOT MEETING SEXUAL NEEDS
For a marriage to be enjoyed, there is need for constant sexual intimacy. There are so many reasons couples stop being sexually intimate. Making love should not be what you are the only one to decide. Most women think that starving their husbands of sex is a way of punishment, not knowing it is a route to gradual deterioration of their marriages and hence a very big common mistake.
